Yachtsman Euromarine R.I.B. Championship

November 10th, 2008 Posted in Competition | No Comments »

Congratulations to C.S.C.’s entry to the national R.I.B. championship. The team consisted of Cpt. Iain Biddulph, Andrew Wafer, Donal Murphy (aka Horsebox) and David Switzer. They achieved a fantastic third place beating off some of the best teams from the country including dedicated R.I.B. clubs and training centres. Courtowns boys were very well recieved and i quote from the I.S.A. web site “In third place came Courtown Sailing Club who showed great team sprit all day” . Last but not least a huge well done to wexford harbour boat and tennis club who took the rib home. Its ours next year !!!  Also i would like to say a huge thank you to our team behind the scenes, First of all Rose our very own cheerleader then we had Lydia our game strategy expert, next was Conor our van logistics champ/bouncer/reversing over a line judge, Graine & Cira what can i say about these two they were our motavational speakers/personal chefs (thanks girls !) And not one bit competitive (ye right) And last but not least our team manager/Shower switch bypasser/fixer/ all round handy man Paul Wafer legend. Thanks Guys.

Well Done C.S.C. Boys

September 7th, 2008 Posted in Competition | No Comments »

We here at South East Powerboating would like to wish our boys from C.S.C. a very well done at today’s regional finals for the ISA Yachtsman Euromarine RIB Championship. The regionals were held in Wexford harbour boat and tennis club under a lovely sunny blue sky. The day started by getting the brain working with a nautical themed quiz. Following the quiz the teams headed outside to the throw bag competition, Courtown undoubtedly dominated this event. The water event came next with Wexford moving into first. The final event came then in the form of an anchoring test exicuted perfectly by the courtown lads. The anchoring gave Courtown second place which is enough to secure a place in the national finals to take place next month. So again South East Powerboating wish to say well done to Iain Biddulph, Andrew Wafer, David Switzer and last but by no means least Donal Murphy aka Horsebox.
